It is located in the village of Mjømna on the island of Mjømna. The church is part of the Mjømna parish in the Nordhordland deanery in the Diocese of Bjørgvin. The white, wooden church, which has 310 seats, was consecrated on 5 November 1901 by the Bishop Johan Willoch Erichsen. Anders Korsvold, from Gulen, was both the architect and head builder.
